The Silberschnitt® cutting fluid ensures a smooth and precise break during cutting. Any glass particles produced are bound, and the wheel is guaranteed to run freely at all times.
When cutting fluid is used, the surface tension in the glass is significantly reduced, allowing the cutting fluid to penetrate the cut surface more quickly and ensuring an optimal cutting result. Furthermore, cutting fluids lubricate the cutting wheel, minimising friction and extending its service life. When cutting glass with cutting fluid, the cutting pressure can be reduced, leading to less damage to the glass surface and therefore less chipping and a significantly better edge quality.
Application note:
When processing thick glass, it is particularly important to use sufficient cutting fluid.
